He holds a PhD in  Architecture from university of Tehran where since 2008 he is a guest lecturer at faculty of architecture. his research`s focus is on architectural design optimization through using genetic algorithms. He is co-author of “Digital Architecture”, a Persian source book from UT press. Ali is chief executive of ContemporArchitectUrbanDesigners ltd (CAUD) which he co-founded in 2011. He won several competitions in the fields of architecture and urban design. During 1994-95 he won two gold and silver medals of national Olympiad in informatics and a bronze medal in national Olympiad of mathematics. He was a member of Iran national team in international Olympiad of informatics (IOI).

Mostapha Sadeghipour

He is a designer and software developer focused on building environmental design. He is currently an Integration Applications Developer at Thornton Tomasetti’s CORE studio and,over the last few years, he has been dedicated to the integration of parametric environmental analysis and architectural design. Mostapha is the creator of two open-source environmental plugins for Grasshopper, Ladybug and Honeybee, and recently started development of epwmap and Pollination –  two web-based applications that ease the access to epw weather files and enable the exploration of multi-dimensional data. He lectures and teaches seminars frequently throughout Architecture and Engineering schools, the AEC community, and, recently, as a  staffed lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania.

Ali Nadjian

With deep experience in the field of photography from fine arts to architectural photography, product and portrait (working in studio), photojournalism as well as teaching in Iran`s Universities, Ali has a great background in making art. He holds a Master of Art from Art University while he owns a bachelor of art from Faculty of Fine Arts in University of Tehran. Since 2010 his Art works have been widely exhibited and published worldwide. He currently continues his art works in Copenhagen, Denmark.

After graduating Master’s degree of architecture from Azad university of Tehran, South Branch in 2009 he has been trying to experience both in academic and professional fields of architecture to experience feasible approaches of digital tools in terms of technique and economy.As a researcher he has been at AA Tehran Visiting School (2011) and Muscat Visting School (2012) as tutor assistant and held workshops with zubin khabazi, before establishing FABLAB-Tehran. He is a co-founder of  FABLAB-Tehran, a Tehran based research team established in 2013 to hold workshops in collaboration with a set of international community of laboratories such as IAAC.As a professional designer he has led many awarded projects in offices such as Rena-Design and Kamvari Architets. In 2012 he co-founded KENAAR Studio with Khashayar Bakhriari which is a on-going young studio focused both on  research and practice.

Shani Sharif

She is an architect and researcher, currently pursuing her doctoral studies in Computational Design at the Georgia Tech Department of Architecture. Shani holds a SMArchS degree in Design and Computation from MIT, a Master of Architecture from Shahid Beheshti University, and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Tehran. With a major in digital fabrication and a minor in cognitive science, her doctoral research concerns the relationship between design knowledge, fabrication techniques and material properties in the process of design. Shani currently teaches the Materials and Fabrication course at the Digital Fabrication Laboratory, and is engaged in BIM focused research projects at the Digital Building Lab at Georgia Tech. She was previously an adjunct professor at Wentworth Institute of Technology, a researcher at MIT Media Lab and School of Architecture and Planning, and a project architect at Design Core and ATEC Consultants..

Nashid Nabian

She holds a Master of Architecture from Iran, a Master of Urban Design from University of Toronto, and a Doctor of Design from Harvard. She completed her post-doctoral fellowship at MIT SENSEable City Lab   on  Situated Technologies and Smart Cities.  Currently she teaches at the Harvard Graduate School of Design where she is supervising the Smart[er] Cities initiative. She is the  co-founder of  Shift Process Practice, a Tehran-based Architectural Practice  with Rambod Eilkhani. She was a partner at Arsh Design Studio from 2002 till  the collaboration of the partners ended in 2012. Arsh Design Studio has won many national awards and its projects were internationally recognized at venues such as Agha Khan Architecture Award and World Architecture Festival(WAF).

Sina Mostafavi

He is an architect, researcher and educator. Sina is now lecturer and instructor at Delft University of Technology where he teaches master track courses on computational design and advanced manufacturing. His PhD research in TU Delft focuses on CAD/CAM methodologies and technologies that facilitate integrated performance driven design to production processes from conception to detail design and fabrication. Sina has practiced as an architect since 2007 and from 2008 he is the founding partner, co-owner and principal designer in the design and construction firm of TAO or Transformative Architecture Office. He holds a master degree in architecture from University of Tehran and a bachelor degree from Tehran University of Art. He is currently senior researcher in Robotic Building project at Hyperbody group at TU Delft.
